More than 40 percent of the 260,000 gallons of oil that spilled from a ruptured tanker into New York Harbor on Thursday has been recovered, the Coast Guard said.

Gasoline prices took another small increase upward nationwide, to an average of 117.96 cents a gallon, including taxes, according to a Lundberg Survey of service stations released Sunday.
