SLAYING SUSPECT SENT FROM HOSPITAL TO JAIL

Accused murderer Lloyd T. Christian Sr. was moved from Williamsburg Community Hospital to the Williamsburg-James City County Jail after doctors declared him fit.

Christian, charged with shooting two people last week in the Eastern State Hospital parking lot, briefly appeared in court Monday to say he did not have an attorney.

The 55-year-old Christian turned himself in to authorities Thursday night after the shootings, complaining of difficulty in breathing. Police said Christian had a history of heart problems and kept him under around-the-clock guard in the Williamsburg hospital.
