OBIT GARTHRIGHT, H.

Mrs. Hattie Mae Garthright, age 87, of Vinton, died Wednesday, June 13, 1990. She was the widow of Edward F. (Ned) Garthright. A long time member of the Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. Garthright will be remembered fondly by her many friends in Vinton and your new friends at the Berkshire Health Care Center. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Price G. Hurst; three grandchildren, Jay, Andrew and Joli Hurst, all of Roanoke; brother and wife, Carson and Louise Grant, Vinton; two sisters, Ethel Stover, Vinton; Virgie Maxie, Va. Beach; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at the Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton at 2:00 p.m. Friday. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
