Stella Costigan Hungate, age 81, died Wednesday, June 13, 1990 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church, the widow of Vernon Banks Hungate. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Charles C. and Mary Woolwine Costigan; a sister, Mrs. Ella Kanode and a brother, Johnnie Costigan. Surviving are two sisters, Marjorie C. Clark, Lynchburg; Lucy C. Reed, Christiansburg; two brothers, Charlie M. Costigan, Christiansburg; Frank E. Costigan, Blacksburg; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.
