Joseph Gilbert Powell, age 67, died Thursday in a Radford hospital. Surviving are one daughter, Katherine Spaulding, Radford; one son, John Powell, Floyd; two brothers, Ralph Powell, Winifred Powell, both of Marion; one sister, Virginia Kirby, Marion; two grandchildren, Kay Custer and Michael Spaulding; one great-grandson, Joshua Ryan Custer; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Devilbiss Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. O.D. Morgan, Rev. Stanley Harvey and Rev. Nat Thompson officiating. Interment will follow Highland Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the Devilbiss Funeral Home.
