JOHNSON, LILIAN N.

\ MONETA - Lilian Nance Johnson, age 92, of Rt. 2, died Saturday, June 16, 1990, in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Bedford County on April 22, 1898, a daughter of the late James Franklin Nance and Ada Burroughs Nance. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Garrett Johnson, and a son, William James Johnson. She was an active member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Bobbie Garrett Johnson of Bedford; and Ken H. Johnson, Moneta; a daughter, Ada J. Woodford, Bedford; four grandsons, Dr. Glenn G. Johnson, Austin, Texas; William T. Johnson of Houston, Texas; Dr. Steven R. Johnson of Springfield; and Barrett N. Johnson of Virginia Beach; a sister, Julia Nance Thompson, Moneta; a great-grandson, Andrew Garrett Johnson, Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with the Rev. John W. Buck officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Bobbie Garrett Johnson.
