THE PEOPLE COLUMN

The Friday night concert was the third canceled in the last three weeks by the singer, who started the tour six weeks ago.

Lee Greenwood, who is known on Nashville's Music Row, as a ladies' man, says he's also quite a family man - a proud grandfather of three, in fact.

But the 47-year-old four-times-married country music star, wasn't always thrilled with his "grandpa" status.

He said it was a negative until several years ago when he saw an ad with Tom Jones carrying his grandchild.

But Greenwood says he tries not to overshadow his children's lives with too much input from grandpa.

Greenwood is known for his Grammy-award winning 1983 hit "I.O.U" and his chest-pounding 1984 anthem "God Bless the U.S.A."
