COLLEGE FUND TO GIVE $30,000 IN ASSISTANCE

More than $30,000 in tuition scholarships will be funded by the Wytheville Community College Educational Foundation in the 1990-91 year, up $5,000 from 1989-90.

The foundation has also budgeted more than $43,000 for instructional equipment, art activities, cultural programs, student awards, and athletics, and funds to help buy furniture and equipment for the Smyth County Education Center now under construction.

Funds are also budgeted for a nursing project aimed at easing a nurse shortage in the region.

Further information on the foundation, established in 1981, is available at the college.
