TURTLES MOVIE LESS VIOLENT THAN CARTOONS

I WONDER if Vickie Reed (letter June 6) saw the Ninja Turtles movie. The so-called bad language was one word said three times, "damn." Children today hear worse things at schools, day care and even in public places.

The movie never showed anyone getting killed and never had blood or guns. Bugs Bunny is more of a bad influence than the movie. Elmer Fudd is always shooting poor old Bugs, and he gets up and walks away. And Elmer is always getting blown to bits and he comes back as he was before.

The movie is not that bad; some cartoons are worse. I think it's up to us parents to teach our children the difference between real and make-believe.
