OBIT WURTZ, J.

John Thomas Wurtz, age 72, died Monday, June 18, 1990, at his home. He was a veteran of World War II, and was a sergeant in the U. S. Army Air Force. Mr. Wurtz was born in Jersey City, N.J. and resided there and in Fairlawn, N. J., for thirty years before moving to Montgomery County seven years ago. He is survived by his wife, Kazia R. Wurtz of Christiansburg; two sons and daughter-in-law, Tom A. Wurtz of Christiansburg; John and Betsy Wurtz of Blacksburg; grandchildren, John Christopher Wurtz of Blacksburg; Michael Sojka of Fairlawn, Va.; Lynda Lee Florindi of Michigan. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, June 21, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 176, Christiansburg, Va. 24073.
