Chicago Publishing Inc., whose stockholders include the Norfolk-based communications media company and two Chicago publishing executives, is acquiring Chicago and Neon magazines from Adams Communications Corp. of Minneapolis.
Neon, an arts and entertainment magazine established last year, will publish seven editions next year. Chicago magazine, with a circulation of 200,000, is the country's largest city monthly.
No price was disclosed, and Landmark officials declined to indicate the extent of their holdings in the new company. Landmark is a nationwide publishing and communications company whose operations include the Roanoke Times & World-News and The Virginian-Pilot and The Ledger-Star in Norfolk. - Associated Press
