SEMINAR ON RECYCLING SCHEDULED IN GALAX

A seminar on mandated recycling laws and solid-waste disposal regulations for localities will be held July 9 at the Galax Moose Lodge from 10 a.m. to noon.

Harry Gregori with the state Department of Waste Management will give an overview of the new regulations and answer questions.

The free seminar is sponsored by the Galax-Carroll-Grayson Chamber of Commerce. Organizations that want to send a representative should register by July 3 by telephoning the chamber (236-2184) or writing it at 405 N. Main St., Galax 24333.
