SUFFERING NO REASON TO END ONE'S LIFE

THE FRONT-PAGE article about the woman who planned her death with the same zest with which she faced life describes someone's selfish desire to get out of life because of the hurt.

We do not relieve hurt by helping someone out of life. We help make life a little better for those who have to suffer. Allowing people to take their lives only encourages others who suffer to see this as a way out. Christ is the giver of life, and when we forget to be thankful for what he has already given, then we may lose it altogether.
