THOMAS DRIVER TO BEAT AT PULASKI SPEEDWAY

Christianburg's Ronnie Thomas has become the Late Motel Stock Car driver to beat at Pulaski County Speedway.

A check of the records shows the former Winston Cup driver has rolled to four wins in his last five races in his new Pontiac Trans Am.

Before he began winning regularly, Thomas had a string of second-place finishes in a Ford.

Now, he heads into Saturday night's Meadow Gold 200 race atop the standings in the race for the LMSC track championship.

Also Saturday night, there will be 35-lap races for the Street and Modified Mini Stocks as well as 25-lap races for the Mini and Pure Stocks.

Gates open at noon with practice getting under way at 2 p.m. Qualifying begins at 5 p.m. with the first race at 7.

Admission is $8 for adults with children 9 and under admitted free. - Staff report
