ROANOKE TEAM THIRD IN SENIOR TWO-MAN GOLF

Roanoke's J.D. Sisson and Arman Fletcher finished third in the eighth annual Virginia State Golf Association Senior Two-Man Championship tournament at Caverns Country Club.

Sisson and Fletcher were third in the championship flight with a 70-71-141 for 36 holes of stroke play over the 6,509, par-72 course.

The championship flight winners were Al Burgard and Don Bailey with a 73-66-139. Bob Lewis and Hugh Botts were second at 68-72-140, and Mel Roach and Jim Kite were fourth at 68-74-142. - Staff report be 35-lap races for the Street and
