CREATE PANELS TO REVIEW ALL NEWS

ON JUNE 4, you advocated passage of a bill a portion of which violated the Second Amendment of the Constitution. On June 6, you advanced the position that constitutional amendment was needed to protect the flag because the First Amendment was complete and sacred the way it was written.

There is a word for people like you: hypocrite!

Let's pass the crime bill as it is, with one important addition: Create committees to review all material intended to be printed or broadcast as news, to check for accuracy and objectivity.

This in itself would go a long way toward the prevention of a continuous and serious crime perpetrated on the American people, that of inaccurate and biased reporting in order to slant public opinion to one's own views. DREW WATSON NEW CASTLE
