BLACKSBURG MAN CHARGED WITH RAPE

A Blacksburg man was arrested and charged with rape Thursday, five months after the victim said the rape occurred.

Police weren't notified of the incident, which the victim said took place in January at Northwood Trailer Park, until May 30.

The victim said she was raped by a man who was staying at her parents' trailer, according to police reports.

Police issued a warrant for Larry R. Vincil, 43, also of Northwood Trailer Park, Thursday afternoon. He was arrested in Christiansburg, and bond was set at $50,000.

Vincil was being held in Montgomery County Jail.

A court date of July 25 was set for General District Court in Blacksburg.
