SUMART REGISTRATIONS OPEN

The Roanoke Museum of Fine Art is accepting registrations for its SumArt in the City program of summer art classes.

There will be classes in youth drawing and painting (ages 6-8); youth painting (ages 9-12); drawing for teens; mixed media for teens; papermaking (teens and adults); sketching in the City Market (adults); illustrating for journals (adult); and intermediate and advanced watercolor.

Classes will range from one session to eight, with tuition for the general public running from $40 to $85. There is a discount for museum members.

Scholarships, funded by the City of Roanoke and proceeds from the Young Art Patrons' recent Black and White Ball, are available.

Classes will take place in the museum's education center on the second floor of Center on Church.
