RICHFOOD LISTS 11-CENT SHARE PROFITS

Richfood Holdings Inc. said profits for its fiscal year ending April 28 were $1.1 million or 11 cents a share, compared to losses of $1.4 million or 14 cents a share the previous fiscal year.

"We are extremely pleased with the performance of the company's core food business," said Donald D. Bennett, president and chief executive officer. "With the turbulent events of last year behind us, we believe Richfood is postured to capitalize on its recent successes."

The company sold its Garner Wholesale non-food subsidiary at the end of its recent fiscal year. Richfood also lost a supply relationship with A & P Super Fresh. - Associated Press
