WHITLOCK ANNIVERSARY

David S. and Audrey L. Whitlock of Roanoke have celebrated 65 years of marriage. They were married June 23, 1925, in Wytheville.

Mr. Whitlock, a Campbell County native, retired as a mail trucker with the N&W Railway. He is a member of the YMCA and the League of Older Americans, and he is a Big Brother and a Mason.

Mrs. Whitlock is the former Audrey Lee Long of Christiansburg. She is a retired music teacher from Roanoke City Public Schools and is the former organist at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home. She is a member of the YWCA and the National Council of Negro Women.

The couple are members of Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, where Mrs. Whitlock formerly was the organist. They have two children, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
