RICHIE, WILLIAM

William (Bill) Richie of 525 South Street departed this life Friday. He was the son of the late Chesterfield and Martha Otey Richie. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Dorothy Dandridge Richie and to that union were born three children. He leaves to mourn his loss one son, Recordo T. Richie, Lexington; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy R. Johnson and Mrs. Martha R. Biglow, both of Bedford; four brothers, Trenton Richie, Thomas R. Richie, both of Lynchburg; Chris Richie, Leroy Richie, both of Bedford; three sisters, Mrs. Goldie R. Goode, Mrs. Lutie R. Goode, both of Lynchburg; Mrs. Florence R. Hardy, Roanoke; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two aunts, Mrs. Willie Anderson, Mrs. Georgia Turpin, both of Roanoke; one uncle, Frank Otey, Roanoke; mother-in-law, Mrs. Lillie Dandridge, Lexington; four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Elsie J. Richie, Mrs. Mary Frances Fields, Mrs. Lillie Mae Hance, Mrs. Ella Mae Richie; one brother-in-law, Oliver Nash; a devoted friend, Mrs. Estelle Meadows; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 25, 1990, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Goode, Va. Interment will be in the Fairmont Cemetery in Bedford. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel.
