\ CATAWBA - Mertha Alls Taylor, age 88, died Saturday in a Salem hospital. She is survived by two sons, Buford Taylor, Elliston; Harvey Taylor and daughter-in-law, Rosemary, Covington; three daughters, Mary Morgan and son-in-law, Harry, Oraleen Patterson and son-in-law, Robert, Janice Barber and son-in-law, Roger, all of Roanoke; six grandsons; five granddaughters; two great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Church with interment in Sarver Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Craig County Rescue Squad or Fire Department. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Boitnott Funeral Home, New Castle.
