EAST, ELLIS M., JR.

\ The Rev. Ellis Marshall East Jr., age 63, of 2628 Bowman Street, N.W., died in a local hospital Sunday, June 24, 1990. He was a member of New Life Temple; a retired minister of the Virginia Conference of the Pentecostal Holiness Church; a graduate of Emmanuel College, Franklin Springs, Ga. He was a former elementary school teacher and was a foreman for 30 years with the Cofer Construction Company. Survivors include his wife, Reta S. East; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary W. and Nancy East, Roanoke; two beloved grandchildren, Matthew and Stephen East; mother, Mrs. Nannie Reece East, Blacksburg; mother-in-law, Mrs. Susan Setliff, Beckley, W.Va.; three brothers, Herbert East, Ravenswood, W.Va.; David East, Christiansburg; John East, Blacksburg; three sisters, Rebecca Adkins, Christiansburg; Helen Hemetek, Ravenswood, W.Va.; Virginia East, Blacksburg. Services will be at New Life Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 1990, with the Rev. Walter L. Wood, the Rev. Glenard Quesenberry, and the Rev. Edward Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday.
