\ RADFORD - Clifton Frank (Gawky) Slaughter, age 76, of Radford, died Monday afternoon in Radford Community Hospital. He was born in Pulaski March 2, 1914, the son of the late John William Slaughter and Senie Hale Slaughter. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Jones Slaughter; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Tamara) Stewart, DeWitt, Iowa; Linda Savage, North Ridge, Calif.; one brother, Hensel Slaughter, Roanoke; two sisters, Mrs. George (Stella) Cregger, Harrisonburg; Mrs. Guy (Helen) Bishop, Wythe County, Va.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Virginia Conference Cemetery, Dublin, Va., with the Rev. Michael Slaughter officiating. Visiting will be Tuesday afternoon and the family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home, Pulaski.
