STATE POLICE GROUP TO OPEN SALES OFFICE

The Virginia State Police Association, representing about 80 percent of members of the Department of State Police, said it will open an office in Roanoke this month to sell its Smoky Mountain Secrets line of gourmet sauces, seasonings, jellies and mustards.

The telemarketing operation, along with others in Manassas, Vienna, Virginia Beach and Richmond, uses proceeds from the sales to support the association's anti-drug-abuse assistance fund. The sauces are made by Smoky Mountain Secrets Inc. of Maryville, Tenn. - Staff report
