\ Wanda Rice Hale, age 48, of 6535 Trevillian Rd., N. E., died Tuesday, June 26, 1990, in a local hospital. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Alvin Hale, two daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie H. and Earl T. Wilson, Karen H. and Johnny L. Whitt; three grandchildren, Mindy Wilson, Preston and Jacob Whitt, all of Roanoke; her parents, Henry C., Sr. and Bertha L. Rice, Pembroke; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Leon Carbaugh of Pembroke; Reba and Danny Smith, Roanoke; Lois and Gene Blankenship, Roanoke; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Linda Rice, Roanoke; Henry C., Jr. and Lynne Rice, Roanoke; Mark Rice and Judy, Pembroke; seven half brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 1990, with the Rev. Eddie Kendell officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.
