STUDENT DEVELOPMENT SERIES STARTS AT TECH

Virginia Tech, beginning in January, will bring distinguished speakers to campus annually to discuss student development.

The series will be named for the Rev. Al Payne, university chaplain emeritus. Payne retired as coordinator of religious affairs in 1981 but remains active on campus.

The lecture series, paid for through private gifts, will deal with what students learn in the classroom and how they relate to people and their community.
