BRENDLE'S SETS OPENING OF VALLEY VIEW STORE

Brendle's will open a discount catalog store at Valley View Mall on Tuesday and a grand opening will follow on July 13.

The Elkin, N.C., company will keep its Salem store open through the end of the year and "more than likely" afterward, said company spokesman Dave Brendle. Another store is at Tanglewood Mall.

Henry Hakola will be manager of the Valley View store. Brendle said the company will have 58 stores by the end of the year. - Staff report
