N.C. MAN FACING SEX CHARGES FILES WARRANT

A North Carolina man charged Sunday with two sexual offenses involving two boys at Fairystone State Park has obtained an assault warrant against the father of one of the boys.

Robert Dearwood Reagan, 29, of Roxboro, N.C., obtained the warrant Tuesday after consulting with Patrick County Sheriff Jay E. Gregory.

On Sunday, when the boys told their parents about the alleged incident, one of the boy's fathers went looking for Reagan and found him sleeping in a van. An altercation ensued, and Reagan suffered several cuts and bruises about his face.

The Sheriff's Department phoned the father to tell him about the assault warrant. The father, whose name is being withheld to protect the identity of the boy, turned himself in Tuesday afternoon. He was released on a $1,000 bond and faces an August hearing in General District Court.
