BILLY K. CANNADAY JR., a Roanoke native who lives in Hampton, has received a doctorate in education administration from Virginia Tech.

Cannaday has been director of secondary education for Hampton public schools since 1986. He is a 1968 graduate of William Fleming High School and a 1972 graduate of Virginia Tech and has a master of administration degree from Hampton Institute.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy K. Cannaday Sr. and is married to the former Quincy Wimbush, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alphonso Wimbush.
