\ BEDFORD - Margaret J. Dinwiddie, age 86, of 1033 Piedmont Street, passed away Thursday, June 28, 1990 in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. She was born July 11, 1904 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Wade Johnson and Blanche Lipscomb Johnson. Her husband was the late Booker W. Dinwiddie. She was a restaurant manager and was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Helen D. Nance, Moneta; Phyllis D. Hobbs, Richmond; four sons, Booker W. Dinwiddie, Jr., New Kent, Va.; W. R. Dinwiddie, T. Neil Dinwiddie, both of Bedford; Robert L. Dinwiddie, New Orleans, Louisiana; one brother, Claude L. Johnson, Roanoke; one sister, Edith J. Hicks, Moneta.; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, June 30, 1990 at 11:00 a.m. from the Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford, by the Rev. A. Dave Snead and Rev. Wayne L. Murphy. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bedford Lifesaving Crew.
