HENRY COUNTY CRASH KILLS W.VA. DRIVER

A 66-year-old West Virginia man died Friday after a two-car accident on U.S. 58 just west of Virginia 759 in Henry County.

Authorities believe Golden Prichard of Bradshaw, W.Va., suffered heart problems, causing his car to cross the center line and strike another car head-on about 2:45 p.m. Prichard's 8-year-old grandson, Rick Anthony Prichard, suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the other car, Reuben B. Hudgins Jr., 65, of Stuart, was taken to Memorial Hospital of Martinsville-Henry County and transferred by helicopter to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he was in the intensive care unit Friday night. His wife, Mary Lee Hudgins, 67, suffered minor injuries.
