\ WAIPING ALICE LO, Blacksburg, is the 1990 recipient of the Glen E. Hubele National Graduate Student Award from the American Association for Counseling and Development. A graduate research assistant at Virginia Tech, Lo was recognized for outstanding work on her thesis, "Courtship Violence."

\ EULA S. MEDLEY of Christiansburg is retiring from Radford Army Ammunition Plant after 37 years. She was an accounting specialist. Medley and her husband, Harold, have two sons, Robert of Blacksburg and Benny of Christiansburg, both of whom work at the plant.
\ HASSELL F. BOOTHE, an engineer at Radford Army Ammunition Plant, is retiring after 31 years. He and his wife, Ruth, live in Christiansburg and have four children.
\ HARRY D. AKERS, a maintenance supervisor at Radford Army Ammunition Plant, is retiring after more than 28 years. He and his wife, Jettie, live in Wytheville.
\ WILLIAM O. REYNOLDS, carpenter shop foreman, is retiring from Radford Army Ammunition Plant after more than 28 years. He and his wife, Grace, live in Blacksburg and have three children.
