ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES

Timothy Hunter Pinner, 21 and formerly of Blacksburg, was arrested last week and charged with felony possession of cocaine and felony possession of psilocyn.

Police received a search warrant and searched Pinner's residence at 400-B Willard Drive in April. The arrest was a result of that search, according to police reports.

Pinner was enrolled at Virginia Tech last spring, and has registered for the fall semester, according to the registrar's office.

Pinner, who now lives in Poquoson, was released on a $5,000 property bond pending a preliminary hearing, which was set for July 27 in Montgomery County General District Court.
