POOPER-SCOOPER LAW NEEDED IN CITY

ED SHAMY (column June 13) is right on the mark. The city of Roanoke is past due for a pooper-scooper law.

This poop, as you wish to call it, is loaded with germs. These are passed on to the children or other people who get into the poop and through the dirt where it lay.

I have spoken to City Council about dog defecation on the sidewalks and yards. Council listens, but do they pay attention? WILLIAM L. PROFFITT ROANOKE
