Charlie Guerrant Eastwood, age 76, of the Mount Pleasant Community of Roanoke
County, died Saturday, June 30, 1990. Charlie was retired from Norfolk &
Western Railroad with 44 years service and was a member and deacon at Waverly
Place Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Saul Eastwood; a son and
daughter-in-law, Kenneth C. and Bonnye H. Eastwood, Tulsa, Okla.; a sister,
Helen E. Ash, Roanoke; two grandchildren, Amy and Barrett Eastwood. Funeral
services will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel Tuesday, July 3, at 10:30 a.m.
with the Rev. Charles Hoffler officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen
Burial Park. The family suggests floral contributions be made to the American
Cancer Society or Waverly Place Baptist Church Building Fund in his memory.
