Mrs. Sadie (Kate) McCoy Lilly, age 102, died Monday, July 2, 1990, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mrs. Lilly had been a member of Centennial Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) since December 1, 1901. She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Rife Lilly; one son, Noel David Lilly; and four grandsons. Surviving are two daughters, Lotus L. Albert, McCoy; Oueda L. Jones, Longshop; three sons and daughters-in-law, Oakley A. and Mary C. Lilly, Christiansburg; J. Virgil and Martha F. Lilly, Roanoke; Warren A. and Juanita A. Lilly, Pearisburg; one daughter-in-law, Lucille B. Lilly, Christiansburg; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 4, at 1:00 p.m. at Centennial Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The Rev. Gordon Lee and the Rev. J. Virgil Lilly will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Centennial Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 427, McCoy, Va., 24111. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hoy-McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
