WOMAN ABDUCTED, BEATEN AND RAPED

A 26-year-old Roanoke woman was abducted Friday night and taken to a vacant house in Roanoke County where she was beaten and raped repeatedly, Roanoke County authorities said Monday.

The woman was walking on Fifth Street Southeast about 11:30 p.m. Friday when a man in a car stopped, got out, grabbed her by the hair and dragged her into the car, authorities said.

The man drove to a vacant house in eastern Roanoke County, where he beat the woman and raped her repeatedly, police said.

Afterward, the man left the house. The woman ran to a nearby house and called police.
