S&L PROPERTIES BEING AUCTIONED VIA SATELLITE

The government will hold its first international auction in late September, via satellite, for properties worth more than $1 million each that were acquired from insolvent savings and loan institutions, administration officials said Monday.

The commercial-properties-only auction will involve 98 properties with a total assessed value of $341 million.
