CSX RAILROAD REPORTS INCREASE IN EARNINGS

CSX Corp. said Monday its second-quarter earnings totaled $109 million, or $1.08 a share, on revenues of $2 billion.

The Richmond-based transportation company showed improved results in rail, barge and container shipping units this year.
