WATER LINES TO BE FLUSHED IN BLACKSBURG

The Blacksburg Public Works Department will be carrying out a routine flushing of water lines in various areas from Monday through July 13, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

This schedule is dependent upon weather conditions.

The water line flushing program is a routine process to insure water quality and assist in maintaining fire hydrants.

The flushing will result in some temporary water discoloration for three to five days. If discoloration occurs, cold tap water should be run until clear in order to clear the sediments.
