Alvin Craft, age 65, of Coral Springs, Fla., died Sunday, July 1, 1990. He was a member of the Samuel Gompers-Benjamin Franklin Lodge #45, Washington, D.C., the Seminole Lodge #304, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, and a member of Mahi Shrine Temple of Miami, Fla. Surviving are his wife, Rubye Vaught Craft; son, Ed Craft, Royal Oak, Mich.; daughters, Roxanne Weiss, Miami, Fla.; Karen Craft, Atlanta, Ga.; two granddaughters; stepdaughters, Elaine Waters, Durham, N.C.; Joan Dunton, Yorktown, Va.; mother-in-law, Mrs. Bea Foss, Salem; brother-in-law, Charles Vaught, Salem; sister-in-law, Mickey Sutherland Cratch, Roanoke. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Scottish Rite Language Disorder Clinic, c/o Roanoke Scottish Rite, 622 Campbell Ave., Roanoke, Va. 24016. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Temple Emanuel Cemetery with Rabbi Frank Muller officiating.
