TOWN COUNCIL APPOINTS ACTING TREASURER

Dublin Town Council has appointed Rebecca Ratcliffe acting treasurer to replace Alice Linkous, who resigned. The appointment took place at a Monday meeting of Council.

Ratcliffe served as assistant treasurer before Linkous' resignation. She will serve as acting treasurer for 90 days, at which point Council will choose a permanent treasurer, said Councilman David Stanley.

Council also picked Billy Pierce to serve as vice mayor, and appointed Dallas Cox to serve on the Planning Commission.

Cox replaces Jim Waddell, who resigned from the commission because of a job transfer, said Mayor Benny Keister.

Council also welcomed new members Elsie Repass and Colbern Linkous, who were appointed to serve on several Town Council committees.

Linkous will be chairman of the council's Streets and Lights Committee and Building and Grounds committee, and Repass will be chairwoman of the Ordinance Committee.
