Mrs. Gloria Swanson Pegram, age 62, of 4146 Fielding Avenue, N.W., died Wednesday, July 4, 1990, in a local hospital. She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church and was involved with the Girl Scouts for many years. She was a former beautician. She is survived by her husband, Samuel E. Pegram; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Wayne and Cathy Pegram; one daughter, Miss Jessica Annette Pegram; her mother, Mrs. Gladys F. Swanson; one brother and sister-in-law, Ray W. and Doris Swanson, all of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, with the Rev. Randolph Abshire and the Rev. Robert M. Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
