Clarence Leon Hunter, assistant principal of Handley High School in Winchester, Va., died Monday at his Frederick County home. He was the son of the late Rev. W.N. and Virginia R. Hunter. Surviving are a daughter, Lori A. Hunter, Columbia, Md.; a stepson, Eric Pitt, Washington, D.C.; a sister, Estelle J. McCadden, Roanoke; a brother and sister-in-law, Glenn L.S. and Celeste Hunter, Inglewood, Calif.; one aunt, Mrs. Darmingar Nightengale, Washington, D.C.; four uncles, Randolph Hunter, Richmond, Va.; Hermit Reeves, Roanoke; A.J. Reeves, Rocky Mount; Joseph Reeves, Bridgeport, Conn.; four aunts-in-law; two nieces; three nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church. The Rev. J. Eugene Young and Dr. Noel C. Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in the Reeves Family Cemetery, Truvine Community, Franklin County. The family will receive friends Thursday at Jerusalem Baptist Church from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. Arrangements by Fizer Funeral Home.
