Alvin Kraft, age 65, of Coral Springs, Fla., died Sunday, July 1, 1990. He was
a member of the Samuel Gompers-Benjamin Franklin Lodge #45, Washington, D.C.,
the Seminole Lodge #304, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the Scottish Rite of Free
Masonry, and a member of Mahi Shrine Temple of Miami, Fla. Surviving are his
wife, Rubye Vaught Kraft; son, Ed Kraft, Royal Oak, Mich.; daughters, Roxanne
Weiss, Miami, Fla.; Karen Kraft, Atlanta, Ga.; two granddaughters;
stepdaughters, Elaine Waters, Durham, N.C.; Joan Dunton, Yorktown, Va.;
mother-in-law, Mrs. Bea Foss, Salem; brother-in-law, Charles Vaught, Salem;
sister-in-law, Mickey Sutherland Cratch, Roanoke. In lieu of flowers, the
family requests that memorials be made to the Scottish Rite Language Disorder
Clinic, c/o Roanoke Scottish Rite, 622 Campbell Ave., Roanoke, Va. 24016.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Temple Emanuel Cemetery with
Rabbi Frank Muller officiating. The Masonic grave rites will be conducted by
Virginia Heights Masonic Lodge as a courtesy to Samuel Gompers-Benjamin
