Mavis White Eastburn, 57, of 100 Dingess St., Narrows, died Wednesday, July 4, 1990, in the Roanoke Memorial Rehab Center. A life long resident of Narrows, she was born in Princeton, W.Va. on September 7, 1932, and was the daughter of Mrs. Inez Martin White of Narrows and the late Albert White. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bernard Eastburn on November 12, 1979. She was a graduate of Narrows High School, Class of 1950, and was a former employee of the Hoechst-Celanese Fiber Company Plant at Narrows and had served as a clerk for the Town of Narrows. In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, Jeffrey Lynn Eastburn of Narrows; and one sister, Margie W. Blevins, Narrows. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows with the Rev. Shahn Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00.
