Thomas Brown Shaver, age 74, died Wednesday, July 4, 1990 in Montgomery Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a retired recreation manager for VPI and was a member of the Blacksburg Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. Surviving are his wife, Christian Shaver; two sons, Richard Wayne Shaver, Thomas Bliss Shaver, both of Blacksburg; one sister, Mrs. Mable Lynch, Union, W.Va. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte, W.Va. Burial will at the Riverview Cemetery in Ronceverte. Friends may call from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
