James Marion Floyd, Jr., 76, died July 5, 1990 in a Charlottesville Hospital. He was born in Rockbridge County September 21, 1913 the son of the late James M. and Mary Southers Floyd, Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Thacker Floyd. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ninita F. Ramsey, Buena Vista; one son, James M. Floyd, III, Buena Vista; two step-daughters, Mrs. Virginia Bunch, Virginia Beach; Mrs. Doris Briggs, Ridgeway; one step-son, Lee Hardy, Buena Vista; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Harris, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Catherine Roadcap and Mrs. Grace Mutispaugh, both of Buena Vista; thirteen grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Lomax Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Glenn Wright. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
