BUENA VISTA - Preston Howe Evans, age 82, of 1143 Oak Ave., Buena Vista, Va., died July 4, 1990, in the Veterans' Hospital, Salem, Va. He attended the First Baptist Church in Buena Vista and was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy in the Asiatic-Pacific area. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louise Evans, Buena Vista; his daughter, Lucy J. Evans, White Plains, N.Y.; his son, Preston B. Evans, Lexington; his granddaughter, Faith R. Haynes, Buena Vista; several nieces and nephews; and many caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside at Green Hill Cemetery, Buena Vista Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Monte A. Talmadge officiating. The family will receive friends at home at anytime. The body may be viewed at Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Arrangements by J.B. Lewis Funeral Service, Lexington.
